Trailside Nature & Science Center Hike

Our first hike of the season will be at Trailside Nature & Science center. Come join ABC friends for an easy sensory trail (which is stroller and wheelchair friendly) where we’ll engage the kids in some nature trivia and scavenger hunt games. We’ll meet and start our hike adventure off to the side of the entrance to the Trailside museum , which is where they have a sensory play area that features musical features and sensory garden beds. After our hike, we’ll break for lunch, so pack a lunch and we can end our hike at one of two playgrounds with picnic tables on the premises. 

After lunch for those who want to stay, we can venture inside the trailside center to beat the heat and experience the state-of-the-art exhibits, featuring a towering 34-foot American beech tree exhibit which fills the building’s atrium. They also have a designated bird watching…
